About Us


​​​​Mission Statement:  The District of Columbia Association for Behavior Analysis is a non-profit organization with the mission to promote the professional practice, ethics, research, and dissemination of behavior analysis and its associated technologies, serving the Washington Metropolitan area (aka DMV),  and to provide its members with support and continuing education opportunities within the field of behavior analysis.

4/24/17: Call ABAI about startup

4/26/17:  Create a DCABA logo

5/30/17:  Began creating website

5/24/17: Created mission statement

6/4/17:  Created Go Fund Me  

                         - Raised to date: $340

6/15/17:   Linked Paypal buttons on website to bank account

6/18/17:  Voted in our Board

6/27/17:  Obtained street address in affiliation with The Chicago School DC

7/15/17:  Begin filling out application to ABAI

8/15/17:  Created bilaws

8/15/17:  Submitted application to ABAI

8/10/17:  Began accepting membership

9/26/17:   Certificates of Membership created

10/26/2017:  DCABA goes to Autism Summit

11/20/17:  First free parent event sponsored by SPARKS group

2/10/2018 - Became incorporated

3/20/2018: Became affiliate of ABAI

6/1/2018:  ABA Practicum Fair

​9/28/2018:  Applied for non-profit status

​10/5/2018:  DCABA goes to Autism Law Summit

10/15/2018:  First Open Meeting - Call for Committee Members

3/9/2019: CPT I code workshop

​5/10/2019:  Received 501 c(6) non-profit status.  (please note: Charity Donations to our organization are NOT tax deductible )
